Stony Creek Field Day: 6.12.09
We were surprised they went ahead with field day, we were so sure it would be cancelled due to the copious amounts of rain we'd had, but it went ahead regardless and it turned out to be a great decision: the sun came out, the kids had a wonderful day and the rain held off.
Jake and the band played in the opening ceremony. We loved that they played 'God Save the Queen', however when questioned, he informed us that it's actually called 'America' on his sheet music - how knew?!
K, 1st and 2nd were out for their games in the morning. We were able to see Caitlin getting soaked before taking Nathan and his friend, Emma, to their St John's summer camp.
In the afternoon the 4th graders were outside so after camp collection, we went over to watch them again.
Certainly seems that everyone had a great day and the spare set of clothes were much needed!
