The last birthday of the kids.....and don't we know it! Waiting until May for a birthday, when your siblings all have birthdays a few weeks before you, is highly stressful. The countdown until this day began back in March. She kept good track of how many days were remaining until this momentous occasion: her 6th birthday. She was super excited, I can't believe she even slept (but was relieved she did!).
Dave and Jake were away on a scout camp but they heard all about it on their return.
Unfortunately on the Friday, she was hit in the face, during recess at school, by a wayward Frisbee, so was sporting quite an impressive black eye for her birthday. Thankfully black eyes do not hamper excitement levels or the ability to eat cake - phew!
