ALASKA!

Not having to deal with driving through traffic en route to the airport on a Friday afternoon was a true blessing.  The SuperShuttle actually came to the Bulman’s to collect us; discounts were offered for each additional passenger picked up at the same location – oh yeah, we made out there!

We had quite a wait at Long Beach Airport which was particularly challenging for our sweet Becca who was rather eager to be on the plane.  Every flight called meant she grabbed her bag and stood up, immediately followed by Nate, her beloved shadow and follower!

Finally, with great relief, our 7:13pm flight with Jet Blue was called.  Our seats were wonderful, plenty of legroom, first luggage was free, Direct TV was offered on individual screens, we had complimentary drinks and snacks, and because Alaska exits Direct TV area, the additional movies were provided free of charge.  We would definitely recommend this airline!

The views out of the window as we crossed over the mountains were brilliant - an advantage of almost continuous daylight.

Landing in Anchorage a little before midnight (we gained another hour!), we caught a taxi directly to the ABC Motorhome offices and located our driveable RV in the lot amongst eleven others, climbed in, quickly made beds (I would’ve paid them extra to do that for us – not fun in the middle of the night with tired kiddums), and fell asleep even with light streaming through the windows!
